We propose to define a novel networking architecture that is designed for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications.
In particular, the following aspects will be tackled at design level: dependability, security, and latency. It is worth noting that the first aspect, i.e. dependability, is a distinguishing feature with respect to the traditional Internet and the Future Internet architectures, where such property is not fully accounted, due to the high effort required compared to the low reward obtained for the vast majority of applications.

The project will be focused on developing a novel EM mainly based on new ferromagnetic materials, new design and new manufacturing techniques.
The design of an EM depends mainly on two basic parameters: magnetic field density and current density. The higher these values the greater the power density achieved. This project aims to address both pathways to substantially improve the characteristics of current EM for electric vehicles, working on: * New ferromagnetic materials with good properties and competitive costs, both in the area of the magnets and the metal itself which guides the magnetic flux.
